My love for gardens and quality design sprouted from a young age…
With my Grandad and Mum both being Architects, I grew up watching them design the living spaces around us. I loved seeing their drawings come to life, and playing in the houses they dreamed up.
Add this to growing up on a lifestyle block, helping my parents with the expansive gardens, I learned the importance of gardening & hard yakka early on!
It wasn’t until I experienced health problems in my early twenties that I found myself going back to plants & gardening.
Working with plants helped my healing process immensely & I found myself re-thinking my corporate career path to branch out and follow my passion.
This journey led me to working with plants & wanting to create landscapes & gardens that bring a sense of relaxation & joy to everyone’s lives.
After completing my Bachelors in Marketing I went back to study and completed my Horticulture Apprenticeship, so that I could design healthy landscapes that would improve their local environment & flourish into the future.
I honed my skills across the landscaping industry, including working on the ground as a maintenance gardener at an award winning retirement home in Christchurch, before getting the opportunity to work for one of New Zealand’s best landscape architecture companies, Goom Landscapes, & specimen tree nursery, Little Big Tree Company, as head Landscape Designer.
I’ve been lucky enough to work on a diverse range of landscape design projects, ranging from designing lush inner city sanctuaries & rural estate masterplans, to planting out large wetland restoration projects, & project managing high end landscape transformations.
I help others reconnect with nature through my landscapes.
